My First Paperback

I feel like that would make a good writer story, wouldn't it?
Anyways. Amid all the craziness that has consumed my life, I have had so many bright lights this year. One is that I got my the first proof of my book!

They are beautiful--inside and out! I cannot wait until you guys see them in person. I will try and post a video of some of the inside pages. My boyfriend's sister drew the chapter images and they are gorgeous!

Until next time, much love!

Hello Ashley!! Thanks for having me over J

Okay, you wanted to know…what question would I LOVE to be asked?

I’d love to be asked…as a reader, how can we help a writer we love and want to support?

You don’t have to buy fifty copies of my book. I won’t try to stop you, but just so you know…totally not necessary.

All you have to do is…
·       Tell people about the book. Word of mouth is the BEST form of advertising. Nothing beats it.

·      Show the social media love. “Like” them, share them, tweet them.

·      Ask your local book store and library to pick up the book and make it available.

·     Write them a review. Second to word of mouth, good reviews are the gold standard. People make buying decisions based on the numbers of stars and the number of ratings a book has.

·       Show up to their book events when you can. It’s all about buzz and even when all the peeps lined up for an autographed copy are all family and friends…it still looks pretty awesome to the people passing by and they’ll be more likely to stop in.

·      Participate in the fun. Whether it’s a Facebook party or a rafflecopter sign up…do it. It only takes a minute and you can win awesome loot!

And lastly…

·     Let them know you enjoy their work. Writers (or at least most of the ones I know!) are pretty insecure. We get a lot of rejection. A simple note from a reader is like the sunshine that filters through the silvery lined cloud. It’s just awesome.

There. Now, go forth and support a writer like Victoria supports the girls!

Fate Intended is the third book in the Coulter Men Series.  Trip is the last of the Coulter sons to find
love. He’s a handsome man with all the skills a young spy needs to succeed. But when it comes to love, he misses the target. Jane is a sweet beauty who may or may not be wanted for murder. She’s hiding out as a cleaning lady when chance brings her and Trip together. It looks like a happily ever after is in the cross hairs until reality tries to destroy what fate has intended.

Elizabeth Seckman is a simple chick with a simple dream…to write stories people want to read.

Moonless Blogfest!

Today is the day! Crystal Collier's MOONLESS releases in PRINT!! I'm SO excited!! This blogfest is being co-hosted by three wonderful bloggers (all with very interesting last names): Pk Hrezo, Tammy Theriault, and Michael Di Gesu

In the English society of 1768 where women are bred to marry, unattractive Alexia, just sixteen, believes she will end up alone. But on the county doorstep of a neighbor’s estate, she meets a man straight out of her nightmares, one whose blue eyes threaten to consume her whole world—especially when she discovers him standing over her murdered host in the middle of the night.

Her nightmares become reality: a dead baron, red-eyed wraiths, and forbidden love with a man hunted by these creatures. After an attack close to home, Alexia realizes she cannot keep one foot in her old life and one in this new world. To protect her family she must either be sold into a loveless marriage, or escape with her beloved and risk becoming one of the Soulless.

So here's the question: If you lived in a society where arranged marriages were a la mode, who would you beg your parents to set you up with? Why? (Literary characters and celebrities welcomed.)

I'm gonna have to say my Aladdin!
If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you know that Aladdin is my boyfriend (not his real name). I call him Aladdin because he looks like Aladdin!

Anyways, he's the sweetest. Wednesday, during a lonnnnggggg day at work/school, I opened my notebook to find this:

He had written it the week before. I had no idea and it was the perfect day for his little spur-of-the-moment surprise. This isn't the first time he has done this, but every time he does, it just melts my heart. Here are some other cute things he's said:

"I'm Aladdin, you have to trust me."

And my personal favorite:

Me: What do you hope I want for Christmas?
Aladdin: My love.

*Swoons*

Isn't he adorable?! UGH.

Honestly, he's exactly what you read about in books. He's Prince Charming...he even likes to snuggle!

Soo...who would you beg your parents to set you up with??
