Where do you get your books?

I was curious about where you get your books. I'm a LIS student, and our focus is always libraries (physical and digital).  Do you use the library? Do you utilize their e-book lending programs? Do you buy from Amazon mostly? Do you buy e-books or paperbacks? What about bookstores? Which bookstore do you go to most?

For me, I use a combination of all of the above. Some of my favorite bookstores are Half-Price Books and Barnes & Noble (because it has an amazing YA collection!). Also, I discover that our public library here in Norman actually has an impressive YA collection, too! So let me know, where do you get your books? :)

And after you have answered my poll, you should head over to Mina Lobo's blog and sign up for her blogfest! She's celebrating her two-year blog anniversary! Those are always fun! :D

This year, Mina invites everyone to 'resurrect' a blog post between November 8, 2012 and November 6, 2013! She will also give away PRIZES!! :) Head on over and sign up!

  1. I get my books all over. :) The library, Amazon, and at the B&N store. If ordering online I am more likely to go to Amazon than B&N. I don't know why.

  2. I get all my books from Amazon -- they have everything, so I don't have to think about anything! Or at least, I can save my mental juices for deciding which books to buy. And I always get ebooks, unless there's sentimentality involved.

  5. I get my books from stores (when I want to browse) and Amazon (if I want something specific) and sometimes borrowing. And I almost always go for paperbacks. I like to read to get away from computer screens.

  6. Looks like Amazon is kicking some booty! That's where I get most of mine. There and directly from the authors themselves. It's good to have friends!
