What a Crazy Weekend!

Can I just say that this has been an insane weekend?! I'm so happy I got through it. lol. Despite it giving me a ton of anxiety, it was super awesome and I'm so proud of my Aladdin! He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelors in Geography and in Linguistics! We attended three graduations and had family here all day Saturday (which was lovely!), and despite the craziness, I even got most of my editing finished!

Here are some pictures from the events!

So, this also marks the end of my first year of graduate school! I have one more and then I am finished. I'm already thinking about comprehensive exams!! Ah!

Aside from that, this summer,  I really need to focus on my books. I just can't decide which one to work on...I'm feeling like I should be working on the second book in my pirates series because some of the characters in my other book don't want to talk to me right now and tell me about themselves.

Also, at the end of this week, we're leaving for ITALY!! I'm so excited! I can't wait to show you all some amazing things!

I'm off to edit!

  2. Wow, I didn't know you were working on two books (or three if you count the one you're editing). Makes me feel like a slacker for not working on any! Well, one of my beta readers is visiting in a couple of weeks and wants to talk about my book, so I now have a deadline for outlining my second draft and making notes on the first. Time to get to work!

Also, how did you get the tweets gadget on your blog? It doesn't work for me.

    1. That's awesome, Aaron! It'll be nice to have a face-to-face conversation about your book (and to have a deadline!).

You can go here: https://twitter.com/settings/widgets and great your twitter widget and then add the html gadget to your display. It should work for you!

  5. I'm in that boat with the whole not knowing which book to work on thing. I tried to work on my other two projects while I was waiting for notes back from my CPs, but my head and heart were still with that project so not much got done.

Good luck editing! And have fun in Italy! I expect to see lots of pictures :D

  6. Congratulations on completing the first year of graduate school, and hats off to Aladdin. What interesting fields he has chosen. Also, have a great time in Italy. I'll be back, in case you answer: where in Italy are you going, and how long will you be there?
