This is my last week at my job! Friday will be bitter-sweet.
In the meantime, these are the things that have happened to me:
1. I made a website and I have my own domain name!! www.ashley-nixon.com
2. I started my FINAL year of grad school. That's right--two more semesters and I will have my Masters in Library Science and Information Studies. I am ready. My classes are:
Community Development
Organizing Information & Knowledge Resources
Community Relations & Advocacy.
You know the funny thing about MLIS? I never have much of an idea about what my classes are about based on their titles. Community Relations & Advocacy is largely looking to be about marketing which sound so fun to me! I've already printed out all my articles I need to read and I have the book. Look, it looks so cool:
Aside from looks, it's pretty interesting, too.
3. I have a job at a library on campus! It will be part-time (10-15 hours a week). That means I'll have a reason to get out of the house and have a chance to get experience in the field I am studying!
Okie dokie. That's all I have for now! But hopefully after this week I'll get my blog schedule going again and I'll be on the path to a better blogger!
