I'm Hearing Voices Blogfest!

I wasn't sure what the 250 word limit meant--like 250 word limit per question or for the whole thing, so I decided it was for the whole thing. lol. Here it goes, this was hard to write because this is an evil character.

Characters on the couch: Have one of your characters answer the following questions (to make this work to your benefit, choose a character who is the hardest for you to write :) Max 250 words (Not including the questions—only the answers).

**This Character's name is Dominique Esquivel

1.          What is your biggest vulnerability? Do others know this or is it a secret?
a.       I have no vulnerabilities. I watched my father kill my mother and then he abandoned me so that he may pursue a life of piracy. I became immune to human emotion, fearless, and careless. Humanity deserves death; therefore, I do not fear death.
My lack of vulnerability is more the secret. Being mortal, being man, it is assumed I would possess such…vulnerability naturally. Men die by my hands learning I have none.

2.          What do people believe about you that is false?
a.       That I am a respectable man. Appearances are everything—men and women look at me and expect I am of superior birth. They take refuge in this false belief, and I can manipulate them at my will.
3.          What would your best friend say is your fatal flaw? Why?
a.       I have no friend or a flaw. Perhaps, if I had a friend, he would say I was too lenient in the punishment of my father—and at my age of desertion, I would have agreed, but I have plans for my father before his death at my hands.
4.          What would the same friend say is your one redeeming quality? Why?
a.       Redeeming quality? I’m sure by now you have no though in your mind that I have a redeemable quality.
5.          What do you want most? What will you do to get it?
a.       I want my father dead, but like I said, I have plans for him to accomplish a larger means...I have a precise plan for him. He won’t see his death coming.

**sorry for the typos guys! I knew I had to save this under an automatic post or it would have been 9pm before it got posted!

Also, make sure you check out everyone else's blogfest posts! You can go to Angie and Cassie Mae's blogs to find a list of names who also entered the blogfest and read some AWESOME interviews!

    1. Yes, I wondered if I should interview him, because he really had no answer to anything. Except really mean things and revenge. He likes revenge.

  3. I can hear my character, Sam McCord, say to him, "I'd tell you to dig two graves when you set out for revenge : one for your target and one for you. But obviously, you are already dead ... inside."

    Absorbing interview, Roland

    1. I like your character! Because that's exactly what I thought! It's strange writing a character who's been so emotionally tortured, really, that he can't feel anything.

      Thank you for your comment!

    1. Yes, he really is, it also comes off in his appearance. He has his reasons though, but he's not the kind of character anyone will have sympathy for, I don't think. I don't, anyway. I dislike him, and dealing with him is so hard because he does horrible things to my favorite characters!

  12. Interesting fellow! He seems to think he cares for no one, but the very fact that he wants to kill his father seems like he cared for his mother at one time and still does. Maybe that is a chink in his armor?

    1. I think so, too. He remembers enough, he would have a connection to her. No one's really talked to him about it yet, actually. I've been expecting it, though! I actually think it'll be his father!

Thank you so much for your comment!

  13. Wow, dark, tough character! I'd like to think he'll discover he's not as tough as he thinks he is, and that can be a helpful thing for him? Great work!

    1. I don't know if he'll ever discover this, but maybe! He's so ruthless, but I guess the fact that he has his mind set on revenge for his mother makes him a little soft. I haven't spent time with him in a while, I actually dislike him, but he becomes a huge part of my third book!

Thank you so much for your comment!

  14. What a great character - so much ruthlessness to be disliked and despised - but then he has a reason to be ruthless doesn't he. I love villains with a past!

  15. Oh, he's evil to the core! And he's totally okay with it. Great character!

  16. People who believe themselves to be so evil usually have a secret they refuse to acknowledge that eats at them day in and day out. I'd love to know his.

    1. I agree! He has a secret, but it's more like a...family secret, and it's the reason his father 'killed' his mother.
