Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I wanted Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides! It was good, but I hope they don't make a fifth one, because you really can't go in any direction with it. On Stranger Tides would have been a better end to the series, I think, if William and Elizabeth had been in it. Elizabeth would have needed the fountain of youth to spend eternity with Will. Anyways...that didn't happen! The next best thing would have been to have another Trilogy, I suppose, but I think that's too many Pirates of the Caribbean. You end up seeing one great thing, become something less interesting.

I still loved it! Of course, I'm a pirate girl, so I love anything like that. And Johnny Depp was amazing as Jack Sparrow. His hair changed, more blonde. lol.

I like watching Pirates of the Caribbean, because I know a lot about the place and people they use. Port Royal, for instance, was real but destroyed by an earthquake. I thought that was sad. Anyways! I think everyone should see it!

  2. I noticed the hair thing too. I went and saw it at a drive-in and though and thought it was my imagination.
I really like the movie, but the mermaid thing threw me for a loop. Did she kill the guy or what?

  4. The first Pirates movie was my favorite, and set the bar high for the others. I didn't love the other ones as much. I'm glad you liked it though, and I'll definitely see it on Netflix!

  7. I'm so with you about Elizabeth and Will. They were integral to the storylines. Yes, Jack was definitely entertaining in this, but something just seemed, missing. The romance. I didn't have enough invested in the priest and the mermaid to cheer them on like I did Will and Elizabeth. Sigh...

  8. Thanks for the comments guys! I'm glad all of your like pirates as much as I do. :) And I think we all agree on the movies, lol!

Anita - I know! I knew they were going to attempt to replace it with the love between the priest and the mermaid, but we had followed Elizabeth and Will so long...it just didn't work. :(
